Adolescent Psychiatry Services

In recent years, the incidence of ADHD in American children aged 2-17 has been estimated to be about 9.4%. Additionally, anxiety disorders, behavioral problems, and mood disorders are also widely prevalent in children and adolescents.

Amongst those suffering from mental health conditions, fewer than half receive the specialty care they need. Early recognition of disorders is essential in child psychiatry in order to prevent further progress of the condition. There is an urgent need for child psychiatrists to address mental health issues in children to promote optimal physical and emotional development.
